Jeff Rader's Fishing Report

March 11/2010 ice went out 2 days ago. crappies going in the crappie beds,catfish in the shallow. trout in the pond.

9/15/09 well still catchin tons of white bass. if the wind blows a little and overcast can fill the coolers quickly. sunshine andno wind is a different matter. its been a terrific year with every group getting into the fish real well. already seeing some of this years spawn on the whitebass. many good years coming. crappies should be picking up and we will start looking for some shallow catfish. thanks to everybody that followed this report and tell a freind. if your on my email list you will recieve more frequent and up to date reports. im actually going fishing in the dark this morning to see if i can cash in on some early morning breaking wipers and stripers.

/15/09  wow. still catchin, Have the wichita outdoor reporter coming tomorrow. so that should shut things down for sure!!! Hey  have a lot of September open and we have the $75 per person speacial going for the half day trips. You can listen to football and catch fish!!!

/9/09 a terrific weekend again. caught over 400 white bass and limits of wipers. were going to have a terrific September and i have lots of availability. still catchin some cats but its hard to pass up the diving seagull andeasy fish!! starting to get the hang of catching the 5 pound wipers as they keep showing up in the same place each day.

6/22/09 - Surfacing White Bass

Well its on!!! Surfacing white bass in the evenings before dark heavy. Had a school of whites 300 yards long last nite. This should last for ten days. Also will be using the lights the next week or so. Chumming starts after the 4th of july. Leon caught some nice crappie today. Over 50. That's it for now, i have fish to clean! Jeff

6/14/09 - August Wipers and White Bass

Catching some big white bass in deep water on cut bait. Also huge schools of drum up to 4 pounds in 30 feet of water. Have some availability for August wipers, Sept. wipers and october stripers and walleye at Wilson Lake. Only 4 to a boat in October.

6/10/09 - Surfacing White Bass!

Just thought i'd pass this along. First white bass surfacing action of the year last night. Should really get hot and heavy towards the end of this month. Getting out the nite fishing lights in anticipation of the dark of the moon later this month. Your fishin freind - Jeff Rader

6/8/09 - Crappies and Cold Weekend

It was a cold weekend but the fishing held up well. My freind Andy and i caught 55 crappies in an hour and a half Friday evening. Saturday was cold and cloudy and with a north wind. we managed a nice bunch of walleye and crappies. Leon caught some nice crappie and whites in his boat. I'm looking for the Whites to start some surfacing in the coming 10 days and really get with the program around June 22. I smell something stinking and I'm sure its my chum pile getting ripe for the month of July. I will be night fishing at the end of june and would be a good time for some of you to come down and get reaquainted with the Rader Lodge fishing program. Going to be catching some nice white bass the end of this month after dark. Take care and keep your hooks sharp! Jeff
